Installing a Momo Competition Steering Wheel

I've decided to get a new steering wheel for my 88' Carrera. I currently have the stock wheel and it feels to skinny in my hands.

I've seen a couple of these wheels on Ebay (currently) for around $169.00. They say 350mm, I'm not sure what that means. Is there a certain size that I need? And do i also need a hub adapter? Where do I get one of those if needed?

Thanks guys!

350mm is the overall diameter. A stock wheel is roughly 380mm. I find that a smaller wheel blocks a lot of my view of the gauges, to the point that it becomes a little annoying. You might want to consider this before you take the plunge.

Good luck,
JR

Paul, you're supposed to post a pic in any thread you start. This particular thread should include some sort of steering wheel for the Porsche content.

Yes you need the hub adaptor. Yes the smaller size blocks the view of the speedo. But I sure love the feel.

I did this a couple of weeks ago. This thread was a big help:

Momo Steering Wheel Install, Illustrated

The smaller size hasn't bothered me one bit. Maybe I'm just too enamored with the look and feel. Great upgrade, shoulda done it sooner.

You can remove the "Star Wars" style competition logo with some WD-40 and your finger nail. Gives it a cleaner look.

Just did this myself. Well worth it. I should have done it years ago.

I also added a Rennline dead pedal at the same time. Much better feel than the carpet.

Did that on the first day after installing mine. Looks much better.
