911 T 1969 Starting problem
I have a very nice and original 911 T. But I have a problem with the starter from time to time. It turns the engine and suddenly it want turn any more. Then I:
1. have to wait. 2. push-start the car. What could be the problem? any idea. Starter, battery. |

I have a '69T that did the same thing. It was my ignition switch, Switch is NLA. I installed a toggle between the switched on to the wire that goes to the starter solenoid. Turn on the key toggle and start. You can pull the switch out of the dash and jumper to make sure that this is the problem first. The yellow wire coming from the ignition switch goes to the starter solenoid. Jump a hot wire over to the yellow wire and the starter should engage, if not then you have a problem at the starter. Make sure the car is in neutral..!!! If nothing then check the large power feed to the starter and all connections to the starter.
