Hey Marco, everything green looks better with Sheila.

I'm just getting over my green phase.
Fwiw green is still sometimes considered an unlucky color for racing.
Maybe it was due to the unreliable green British cars?
Some drag racers avoid even having a green wire in their race cars..

Before:

After: Round II

I got hit in the back and had to repair and repaint so I took the opportunity to do some chassis re-enforcement while I was in there.

I welded a pair of longitudes from an 85' Carrera over my 73' longitudes.

Randy,

I've yet to put the car back together. The second picture of it as a roller was taken this morning. I just got it back from the paint booth Friday afternoon.

I did jack the car up from the jack plate and noticed the car still widens at the door gap even after welding in the additional longitudes. I sure wish I had measured the difference of the gap from before and after welding in the longitudes. It would have been a nice data point.

When I get a chance I'll post on the chassis stiffening thread.
