weeping WUR connection.

The line that goes from the fuel distributor to the WUR is weeping a very small amount at the base of the nut that tightens down the line on the WUR.
Not a drip. I just notice the bottom of the nut is damp.

I also noticed that there looked to be some thread sealant on the WUR threads from long ago.
Can I go this route to fix this problem?

I looked on our Host's pages and it looks like these lines are NLA.
What alternative's do we have for replacing 28 year old lines?

Thanks.

Is it the actual line? Or just the crush washers?

It is at the flared fitting on the WUR. No crush washer on that end.

I had a leak there when i checked my fuel pressures. I just made it really tight now no leaks. But in some cases making it looser makes it stop leaking which confuses me. For example on my front carrera cooler. I couldnt get it to stop leaking i was afraid i was going to strip the threads if i tightened it anymore. I ended up making it just tighter than hand tight and now its great

I suspect this all started because I went to tight on the nut. Maybe I messed up the flare fitting. Then again it looked like it had some sort of thread sealer on there at some point.

Seems PP may have this line after all.
930-110-502-00-OEM. I hope it fits a euro fuel distributor.

Fuel line to WUR.......

Ron,

Do you have the hard metal line/s for the fuel line from FD to WUR? If you do, there is no sealing washer or ring (crush washer). That will be a compression fitting type of sort. Sealing is accomplished thru metal to metal inter face for sealing. I would use a very fine emery cloth to clean the sealing surfaces. Good luck.

These are the plastic type. compression fitting. If I can get a new one, I'll go that route. The line does not look that great on that end anyway.

Weeping......

Ron,

Is the fuel weeping coming from the top or from the bottom of the fitting?

The fittings mounted on the WUR have sealing rings. The fuel line from FD to WUR is connected to the fitting on the right (picture) and don't use sealing washer or ring. The sealing is achieved by the metal to metal compression of the mating surfaces. Polishing and cleaning of the contact surfaces might help get a better seal.
