I've owned my 964 for a couple months now and I want to do so of my own repairs example:
brakes, oil changes, maybe some gasket replacements, but nothing major. What manual or should I get? Also, what should I torque my wheel lugs to? |

The factory manuals are the best, and much cheaper if you get them on microfiche. (I got a reader off EBay.)
Torque the wheel lugs to 85-90 ft lbs. Nick. ------------------ _ _ __ _ _ Nick Shumaker 1982 911SC Coupe nickshu@yahoo.com PCA -- Rocky Mtn. Region |

I would get the actual set of factory manuals and then supplement them with a subscription to AllData (www.alldata.com). The 964 manuals are nothing to write home about, but that's about all we have to work with. The manuals cost about $350 and AllData is $20.00/year. AllData has all the TSBs in detail, as well as a fair amount of other info.
Good Luck, Bill Wagner |
