corner balance ' 2 '

great inputs, thanks to all. Had the car checked at a alignment and frame straightening place, everything was fine, alignment dead on ! no charge, he did suggest to flip the front tires, so i did, a waste of $ 40.00 well, my car still pulls to the right, so before i do the corner balancing let me ask all of you, can it be so, that a car out of balance will pull, even if alignment is " dead on " sorry no alignment numbers, thanks

yes.

How's the braking? A sure fire way to know is to slam on the brakes and if you only leave one skid mark it's pretty unbalanced (barring other brake problems of course).

I'm not sure of the answer to your question but I can tell you this. I recommend you take the drive up the 405 to Torrance and have Steve Alarcon at Johnson's Alignment set up your car for you. I just had spring plate bushings, rear shocks, alignment and corner balance done to my '78 SC and couldn't be happier. This is the second car I've had him do the suspension work on and it is great. He is a magician when it comes to setting up these cars. I will warn you, you can probably find a place to do it cheaper but you won't find a place that does it any better.

thanks Scott Douglas, i will take your recommendation to heart, having had two cars done there, i guess there is no better reference, what was your problem in the first place ?

My SC needed spring plate bushings. Since you end up having to do a ride height setting when you do them I had the new shocks put in too. My 912 turned out so nice I decided to go ahead and have the alignment and corner balance done too, as there is nothing to compare to a well tuned Porsche suspension. Numerous friends have taken their cars to him and all of them have thanked me afterwards.
