Houndstooth on a 73?

Hello does anybody know if houndstooth was ever available on standards seats in 73? I'm thinking of reupholstering this way. Has anybody done this and if so know of a source for the covers.

Yes it was available and could be ordered with standard seats. Any auto upholsterer can do the seats but the correct houndstooth is hard to find.

Tony who owns Autobahn Interiors has the correct material and can do your seats for you. If you want to have your seats done locally then maybe he might sale you the material.

yes, my 73 came from the factory with houndstooth on standard 'comfort' seats. can't get a pic now because they are sleeping in the attic while the RS-A seats are in. (interior verified on the C of A)

Bobby, nice seats. I always liked the hounds tooth. I almost bought a 1978 silver 928 with hounds tooth interior. Go for it..

Houndstooth was a seat cover option from day one of 911 production to '73.
Colours available were white / black - most common , white / black with red,green,beige or tan , at various model years.
Here's mine.
