'72 Originality Question??? - Followup

Thanks for all the input!!! Sounds to me like "chrome look plastic" horn grills and anodized black rear deck trim, that is grill, "P O R S C H E" and "911T". Chrome on black "2.4".

NEXT QUESTION;

Does anyone know a source for getting the black anodized scripts ("P O R S C H E" and "911T")???

As for the "T" vs. "S" issue, being a "half breed" (starting life as a "T" and being forced to, as least partly, become an "S"), I best stay out of it! I do love her though!

NLA from Porsche, but I plan on having a spare '72 grill that someone painted black refinished with a smooth anodized dark grey finish by a local independent shop to match my original finish script.

Hi guys...I just spent the day getting the car ready for Cambria. I can assue you, the horn grills on my (#1556...late production) ARE metal...chromed over cheap pot metal, but metal. So I think Randy W. is most likely on target. Some early '72 models had plastic grills, some later models had metal. My question...could all with factory fog or driving lights have been metal? Trivial, really...Only important to those who worry about whether a car is "proper" or not...Anodizing? Even a small city (40,000 or so) near me has an anodizing shop. Check 'em out....just opinion & advice..
