I am removing the heads from my car and removed all the of the valve train (except for cam shaft) removed the 100 nuts holding the heads to the cam tower and tugged, nothing. Upon closer inspection it looks like the two are sealed with some kind of sealer, in effect they are glued to each other, any tips? As of right now drivers side bank of heads and cam tower are on the garage floor.

There is indeed sealer between cam tower and heads ... intended to prevent oil leaks, but not always so effective after years of heat cycles!
If you have a Black & Decker Workmate or something similar ... clamp the cam tower in the WorkMate with the three heads up. Then, individual heads can be removed. ------------------ Warren Hall 1973 911S Targa [This message has been edited by Early_S_Man (edited 05-06-2001).] |

just pop them apart with a screwdriver. one pry on each side of each head. find a leverage spot that won't break any fins.
