Wow, for only $11,000.0, you can get a 69 912 with a 935 body kit and a mazda engine. How can it be that this has no bids?

That guy has been chewing on too many 'funny' mushrooms (the Grace Slick/Timothy Leary kind) ... for an extended period, too! He won't be getting any bids on that JOKE!!!

Those are the good kind of mushrooms, Warren
![]() Eeek, a Mazda engine in a 912. Why not just drop a 911 engine in there? It'll at least begin to be fast with one... ------------------ Mark Szabo 1986 911 Targa 3.2 1987 Escort 5-speed 1.9 RIP The Porsche Owners Gallery |

For the people asked about the Porsche equivalent of the all-show-no-go ricers, this is an on-the-nose response. What a mess.

Even odder, why would you want to goose a 912 with that particular engine? I mean, a stock 912 does a quarter mile in 18.1 seconds, and a first-generation Mazda (with the 12A engine) does it in 17. I mean, I guess that's an improvement, but do you want to take that kind of car to the track?
0-60 for both cars are are similarly unspectacular. 10.0 for the Mazda, 11.6 for the 912. I don't know if those kind of ground effects are what you want when you're trying to unleash the fury of 105 foot pounds of raw Wankel torque (and 105 peak horsepower). ------------------ Jack Olsen 1973 911 T (3.6) sunroof coupe jackolsen@mediaone.net |

I guess the ground effects aren't the only thing that sucks about that car.

Now Jack, give the guy some credit. He clearly says in the post that the engine is "PORTED". It probably has at least 106HP, Maybe even 108.
He list his phone number, and says to call him if you have any questions. Someone should call him and ask "Are you high?" |

Come on guys, don't assume that it is a standard rotary - I like giving people the benefit of the doubt. Rotaries can make A LOT of power (at the expense of absurd fuel economy). See, for example:
http://members.aol.com/trochoids/08.htm But, they sound like crap (to me) when they are bridgeported: http://www.geocities.com/motorcity/lane/6446/sounds/rx2-bridge.wav http://www.geocities.com/motorcity/lane/6446/sounds/rx2.wav Disclaimer: There is no way in hell I would ever do such a thing (it gives me cold chills).
