Angry AHHH!! PAINT BUBBLE

I knew there was some collision work before purchase but the repair looked excellent. Now, I have owned the car for one year and there is a small bubble and a 2 inch raised area at the top of the rear quarter panel. What do I do? The paint is not punctured.

There's really not a whole lot you can easily do.

At some point, the paint bubble is going to crack and peel off. At that time, you will either have to live with a touch up job, or get it fully repaired. To get it fully repaired, realistically I think they will have to repaint the whole panel.

One of the reasons why a repaint generally knocks 10-20% off of the value of a used Porsche.

Just a precaution, but check to see if they used a chemical stripper to remove old paint for the repair. If so it sounds as if they failed to neutralize the stripper.
When I got my 78SC, the PO had striped the entire car with a chemical stripper and the paint was bubbling and coming off in stips. Fortunatly for me, I wanted to have fresh paint and this significanly knocked down the price.

I've got a bubble as well on my '83 SC on the passenger door. Three shops have told me the only course of action is to strip and repaint the door. Price quoted were around $250.00.
