Leakdown Test
Recent leakdown test and here are my numbers:
Cyl 1 - 99% Cyl 2 - 99% Cyl 3 - 99% Cyl 4 - 92% Cyl 5 - 92% Cyl 6 - 99% Should I be worried about Cyl 4 & 5? Thanks, John |

with those #'s 4 and 5 are your best cylinders!
![]() ![]() 1-1% 2-1% 3-1% 4-8% 5-8% 6-1% as far as those two cylinders I wouldn't worry yet. drive it for a bit then re-do the test. these engines are quite variable with these things. I usually look for a trend over two or three tests before getting concerned. did you check to see where the leakage was coming from on 4 & 5? |

Thanks.... I should have listed the numbers as:
1-1% 2-1% 3-1% 4-8% 5-8% 6-1% Did not check where the leakage was coming from. This is the second time the leakdown test was conducted over the past couple of years. I was told that the numbers were fine and the car is running great!!! Just wanted to hear from this group. Thanks, John |

Numbers from the first test:
Cyl 1 - 1% Cyl 2 - 1% Cyl 3 - 1% Cyl 4 - 10% Cyl 5 - 10% Cyl 6 - 1% Test were conducted over a year time frame. Thanks, John |
