Wayne - Server needs a swift kick
I don't know if anyone else is experiencing slow response times from this forum, but I am. Reeaaaly slooooow. All the other forums I visit are snaping up quickly, but Pelican seems to just grind and grind before popping up. Perhaps the web server/router out there in that HOT California heat need some Gatoraide - and with rolling blackouts to boot! http://www.pelicanparts.com/ultimate/frown.gif

I second that.
It took me (literally) 15 minutes to post this reply. I kept thinking it was my connection. However, all the other sites I hit are normal. I have noticed Pelican has added some NEW items to the Board. I expect these are causing the issues. Good luck all! Nick |
'll third that motion. Really slow. Wayne, I think it's time for pistons and cams on the ol' server!

Yes. V...e...r...y slow to a cable modem about ten miles from where the server is located. If my 911 were out of the shop, I could type these up and deliver them more quickly. http://www.pelicanparts.com/ultimate/smile.gif

You guys are lucky, those of us East of the left coast could not even get the site to open, not to mention slow loading of the pages!
Working normal now, must have run the boost up a bit! Thx, JA |
I bet they are running on NT servers. They need to be rebooted. They should switch to Linux servers running Apache web services.
