Most move the 7's up front an buy 8's or 9's for the rear.

Nice SC btw. ...and good form posting a pic on your first post.

Thanks

I've been looking around at different types of rims. I may just have the Fuchs chrome dipped if it doesn't cost more than the car cost. Rob

Chrome generally ruins Fuchs. ..the chrome starts pealing leaving pitted aluminum --not pretty.

The wheels you have look great. Don't chrome them. If you want a different look, there are a lot of folks who do a great job refinishing Fuchs at a reasonable price. You might consider adding some small spacers to fill out the wheel wells.

Island911, you are correct. The inside of the rim is peeling in large sections. I thought chroming them would restore the rim. How do the restoring companies do the job. Thanks again, Rob.

personally i like the 16 x 7/9 fuch. but if you want a different look, try some place like www.wheelenhancement.com they have a huge variety of wheels that will fit your car.

Great looking car....you have come to the right place for info. I wish I found it before I started spending on my cars. It would have saved me thousands.

Chrome wheels; I would send the wheels to Al Reed. He will strip the chrome and refinish the wheel. I believe he charges for stripping about $80+ shipping per wheel. This does not include re-finishing the wheels just stripping. Refinishing is about another $100 +/-. He is the most reasonable of the "big" three which are Wheel Enhancement [not a fan and would not recommend] Weidman [the gold standard] and Al Reed [714.632.3907, leave a message he will call back]. I am about to send him a 3rd set to re-finish from polished to stock.

I went from 6"+7"x16s [yours] to 7"+9"x16s; it is a different look. I now can appreciate both. My preference is for a 245 filling the wheel well w/ the 9" rim!

If you are looking for 8" or 9" rims check in the pelican used parts classified. They are sold often and at very reasonable prices. Another referred source is Jason Cullen. He has done right by many a pelican.

On that color car I would think the RSR frosted looking fuchs would look better. You'd have to strip the chrome - AL Reed will do that for you.

You can also look for some BBS wheels - a black center would look good. Unfortunately - the offset and bolt pattern does not make for alot of choices.

Are those 8's or 9's on the back? Are they cast or forged rims in 17"?
Thanks!

Did you need to do any modifications to the car to get these wheels/tires to fit?
If not, where on this site can I order them from?
What tire sizes do you have on your car?

Search on Pelican for "Fox wheels". They fit perfectly without mods. I'm running 225/50/17 front 255/40/17 rear.
