I also bought one for around $35 from an "e-bookstore" a couple months ago.
I wonder why the Carrera book is available so cheap, but the SC book is not?

Anyone know a good book/service manual for earlier 911s (up to the SC)?

I just placed an order for the Carrera manual through textbooksatcost.com. I figure that it will still have alot of good info that I can still use on my car.
I'll get a SC manual too if they come down in price.

Does anyone know if Bentley makes a manual for the 964 and 993? I have the Factory Workshop Manuals for the earlier cars but the Bentley I've seen is so good, I'd rather get *it* to update my library if it's available for the later cars.

Anyway, I too would be interested in a manual for the 964. . .the factory version costs almost as much as a new set of tires.

That was probably my post on Rennlist that started this thread. Why dont you SC guys initiate a mailstorm to textbooksatcost? They have been very responsive in finding books I've asked for, and are consistently the lowest price around. Find the ISBN number for the Bentley CS manual and email 'em - I'm sure they will get it, especially if they catch a clue about the number of SC guys who are drooling to buy one!

It's funny that you should inquire about this book. I had another customer inquire just a few minutes ago.

I did check and no, we do not currently have that book. I did call the publisher and they do not have it at this time. Their representative told me that although they do not have it on backorder, they do get them periodically. She said that it may be as far as 4-6 weeks down the road before they receive anymore. My suggestion to you would be to try back by emailing me directly from time to time and I will check again for you.

I also checked Amazon and Half.com and neither of those two sites has the book right now either.

I'm sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Btw, I got an email saying that my new manual had shipped and as of yesterday it was in Ohio!
