I posted this question on another thread in line with a similar subject.
When removing the fuel line that feeds the fuel rails on an '84 Carrera, does the CO need to be reset? I've read in P. Zimmermann's book "The Used 911 Story" that it does, but I have been told since the car has a DME it does not need to be reset manually and the computer will do it. Any thoughts on this? Mahalo!

You're not getting any answers, I suspect, because your header line is so meaningless. Co? Company? Coal? Cohort? Nobody's bothering to see what it means.

So now that you've read it do you have an answer?

I read it because I was intrigued. Why would another fuel line change any settings? What makes you ask?

I asked because in Peter Zimmermann's book it states that this hose is a problem for the '84 MY and the CO needs to be reset. However I didn't think this was so, since the car has a DME, but I'm not as experienced with this car as others are. I'm removing it to get another one made, but I just wanted to be sure what I would need to do once the hose was completed.

I don't see where the CO would need adjusting after a fuel line changeout.
Am I missing something guys? Best,

I thought the same thing as I read it in the book and just wanted to confirm that it doesn't need to be adjusted with a DME motor. Like the saying goes...don't believe everything you read, and this one had me doubting what I was reading.
