Leland,
I'm equally impressed with your workspace. Did you swap places with your living quarters? I haven't seen that much space in my garage since the day we moved in. Sherwood Lee http://members.rennlist.org/911pcars |
Lol...thanks guys...actually (hopefully there aren't any officers on this board) I was working on it at work. We have a Huge equipment bay and the guys are pretty lienient about letting us do work on our cars in the bay. As long as we don't violate any EPA stuff.
And yes, that picture was hot off the disk as of lunch time today. I was rather pleased with the way the case came out of the hot tank. I will do my heads, cylinders and cam towers next. I really appreciate the encouraging words...it helps alot. http://www.pelicanparts.com/ultimate/smile.gif |

It looks like a shot from the factory, except that there's a lot more space to work in. When you're done with this project, it's going to be like your own blood is running through that engine. You'll never be able to bring yourself to sell it, or probably even turn it off!

Leland,
If you keep posting pics like this, you will have found your second calling! It looks beautiful! I cannot wait for you to get this one put together and in the car, then you can start on a "massaged" 3.0/3.2 and show us all how to do it! Keep up the good work! JA |
Well, there is at least one officer on the board... but he is a Porsche nut and not lookin http://www.pelicanparts.com/ultimate/wink.gif

just offhand,
will this engine be for "show" or for "go"? obin |
Obin, I'm not really trying to make it of concours quality...it just makes sence to me to take a bit of extra time and make it look decent. I just want it to look like I invested as much money in it as I am!
Plus I was real tired of being embarassed everytime someone asked to see the motor. rcilurso, what branch? What do you do? Thanks for not lookin' http://www.pelicanparts.com/ultimate/biggrin.gif |
rcilurso is in the USAF. Don't know him just looked up his profile.
Nice work Leland. Good to see our tax $ going into something tangible http://www.pelicanparts.com/ultimate/biggrin.gif |
Leland:
It looks like money well spent. That engine looks awesome. I'm sure you engine will treat you right especially with all the TLC you are giving it. Eric 83SC |
