3.2 performance chips?
Any of you guys have any input on aftermarket perfomance chips for the 3.2 dme?
Good points? bad pointS? Gains? loss? suggestions? Thanks DRD Darren |
Weltmeister. Yeah, it definitely makes a difference, more if it's an older 3.2. In my case, I'm please with it.
I had to solder the new chip in, but that's very rarely the case and only with 84s. ------------------ Kurt B '84 Carrera Cab. carrera_cabriolet@yahoo.com |
I also have the Weltmeister chip. I thankfully didn't have to solder. I noticed a difference for sure. Be careful not to break the tiny pinpoints on the chips. I broke one off on my stock chip. I don't think I'll ever need it again but you never know. I liked the graphs and charts in the Performance catalogue with the Weltmeister. Keep in mind that these chips are designed to run with Supreme unleaded only!

I have the Weltmeister... Ditto as above.
I hear some others brands are better. The names elude me at the moment. ------------------ Nick Hromyak '85 Carrera 7 & 9 Fuchs Havin' Fun in Sacramento [This message has been edited by nhromyak@yahoo.com (edited 05-11-2001).] |
Autothority is another choice. The chip could be tune to match your car's modification, such as header, lighten flywheel etc. How about Unichip from Racer's Group? I'm thinking to get one too, but can't make the decision.
