Driving home with wife and kids in the mini-van, I see a beautiful silver 2001 carrera cab. coming at me blazing fast----------------------------------------with a frickin' 80s model firebird, complete with mismatching door panels and lots of primor, right on his rear bumper! I had to laugh.......

He was probably trying to get away from some low life dip**** hassling him. Who has more to lose?

If that's the case, I don't see why the guy in the Carrera Cab just floor it and leave the sucker in the dust?

It's difficult to outrun someone "in town". Best you could hope for is to slow up and hit a sidestreet so hard/fast that the old 'bird can't make it.

![]() I had to laugh too when I read that story, I can imagine... Maybee the bird somehow got caught in the backdraft of the new cab, and just couldn't free himself; happens alot with commercial airliners hahaa |

True enthusiasts can tolerate the trials and breakdowns of the older Porsches. The newer guys don't have the patience or style.
