Wiring mess: Removing XR700 and Installing Pertronix
 

Hello

The previous owner of my car butchered the install of a Crane XR700 unit and there is no way the wiring is correct. I have been advised by a well known shop to remove it and go with pertronix.

I am about to order said ignitor from our host, but would first like to hear your thoughts on this, including ease of installation. I assume the existing coil is fine/compatible? You wouldn't believe the rats nest of wiring that exists in the car's engine bay at the moment.
