Freeze 12
Has anybody seen or had experience with Freeze 12 for your a/c system?

I personally do not, and will not use that product. I either use R12 in the systems that still require it(if it ain't broke, don't fix it) or if I have to do a major repair on an R12, I will then usually convert it to 134A. The others are already on 134A, and being that it is only about $80.00 or less, for the 30lb jug again, I keep plenty on hand. Still have case lots of R12 and 30Lb jugs, so I am fairly well set.

I've heard you can have problems getting a shop to work on your system if it's in there.

Freeze 12 is a mixture of two refrigerants. My HVAC Guys at work HATE mixtures because:
1) When they leak, typically one component boils off before the other. The only way to properly recharge the system is to remove ALL of the refrigerant and replace it with new; and 2) While it is leaking, the system acts in a very screwy way as well.

I've been using it for about a year. My intent is to but a little time before I do major work. I'm not sure about other shops, but mine was installed by an AC shop. They evacuated the sysrem, installed a leak detector, and put sticker on car. All done very professionally.

Other reason I hate working on blends is that I have to maintain a special recovery tank for whatever I'm working on so it doesn't mix with the real stuff. Then when I go to recycle it they charge me more.
