86 carrera sport coupe euro style black and black

This one sure looks nice, the problems are mechanical and wiring in nature (found 3 mice living in it) and so far only found 4 wires they chewed through, 3 of which were for the stereo. Also get that loud banging noise from the right front wheel when I hit a bump. Figure thats the strut and should need to be replaced. Any experience with this? I ordered the Bently service manual 84-89 911 but it won't get here for a couple more days. With the rain falling outside (live in western Massachusetts) and going to keep raining for the next 2 days figured good time to get a jump on things even though I don't have the service manual yet, thats why I posted the question. One other ? if you don't mind, Are there seats in the back? All I see is the flat top of 2 like glove compartments with a steel bar on them, almost seems like they should fold up or something. Need to get at the rear window deck to expose speaker wiring, seems as though the installer messed up the wiring or the mice got at those also. Did not look like a pro job on the stereo install (Sony xr-c300) as the speker wire conections were just twisted together and taped, I'm soldering them and using heat shrink. There was a 10 disc changer in the trunk but I removed that (thats were the mice did chewing that I could see) only 3 of the 4 speakers work but the balance and fader don't coincide with the adjustments on the radio. So it seems that they cut the wires for the origonal speakers and changed them to Pioneers but they do sound good so I want to disconnect the wires at the speakers and do a continuity check to each one that runs up front so I can make sure the proper wires are conncted from the radio to the speakers, hence needing to get to the back deck/dash. Its killing me because I'm 6' 2" and 250 lbs and almost got stuck in the back last night trying to figure how to get at the wires for the rear speakers. At least the wires from the radio are marked by factory. More bad stuff found a few wires chewed between the brake booster? and the fuel filler tube in the trunk right behind the firewall on the drivers side along with a couple wires under the dash next to the ignition switch that look as if they were overheated as the insulation on them is distorted/melted. Not to mention that when I turn on the head lights the radio goes off. Also get 3 sets of double beeps thru the speakers when turning key on or off. The body and frame are in real nice condition almost unbeleivable but the damn mice did a job on some stuff. Car does run well and shifts nice also starts right up. I guess I'll just take my time and keep plugging away at it and hopefully things will get easier when the service manual comes in, the owners manual is useless as it doesn't even cover the euro style stuff. I know this is a lot to ask but any help on any of these problems will be appreciated.
Thanks
JANZ
