73T - Parts Accumulating in the garage

Well by now, I had hoped to have completed my suspension and brake refurbishment, and be considering what to do with the bodywork next (no rust, just a lightweight theme in my mind), and finally the engine / gearbox upgrades.

However, best laid plans and all that. I have parts accumulating in the garage, but so little opportunity to get out there and do anything with them.

I have decided to use the car as is for this summer, taking in track days at Silverstone Classic and Donington with PCGB, the DDK Welsh Tour and a few other dates as yet to be confirmed. The plan is then to take the car off the road after the DDK Welsh Tour and get on with fitting the new and refurbished parts.

The list of things in the garage is :-

Refurbished (Viper Green) Bilstein Struts with custom valved inserts to Tuthill tarmac spec.
Classicar refurbished (due back soon) 'S' alloy calipers to fit the Bilsteins
Refurbished (vapour cleaned ?) alloy front cross member
New Turbo Tie Rods (Tuthill machined to allow easy spanner fitting !)
New Bilsten Sprint rear dampers.
As new 26mm rear torsion bars (from Callum Guy's RS)
As new adjustable rear spring plates (from Callum Guy's RS)
New FactoryShort Shift Kit and Shifter Bearings
Repainted and refurbished Cibie Pallas Lamps

I still need to buy all new suspension bushings, brake pads (maybe disks) and odds and ends, and have to get a few things powder coated, but need them off the car to do that.

So, enjoy the car for Summer / Autumn 2007 and then refurb.

I already know what I want the exterior to look like, and have a quote to do it, but it needs to wait for now.

As for engine, that is 2009, but I like the idea of 2.7RS spec. or 2.5SS - however, budget will be the single biggest factor in the engine department.

Ian
