This car on Ebay looks like a lot for the money - No reserve - Estate sale. I'm tempted to bid but it scares me. Anybody know anything about this car? I don't have long.

I think it is kind of cheesy with that 928 rear end. The front is ok I guess. The wheels look cheap. Acutally, I think the whole car is sort of cheap looking. I would not buy it without seeing it and I definetely would not buy it with that 928 rear end.

"No Reserve as Estate Sale! Porsche 911 S Wide Body Slant Nose 1977 Runs absolutely perfect , very very fast with the Dual-carb and Turbo Exhaust on the Porsche Hi Output HP engine ,it has been finely tuned & with Druck Pressure Monitor can produce nearly 300 HP , 5 Speed , runs perfect and cool , with air conditioning , power sunroof, power and remote windows , Plush Leather , 116xxx exempt miles (original),Dunlap 245/45/16in ZR tires and rims"
WHAT? What does that stuff mean?? Dual Carbs? Turbo exhaust? Produces 300 hp with its oil pressure monitor? (does the fuel guage add an additional 50 hp?). What are "exempt" miles? Being sold by "Phoenix Estate Sales, Always Below Wholesale"? I'd stay far, far away from that thing! |

"...we do not sell alot of German sports cars so we dont know alot of Technical questions..."
Well, DUH. Hmmm, 300 HP on the Druck Press Monitor? Allan, you can find unmolested '77s for less than $12k. It would probably be a safer bet to go with an SC for a few $k more. blue |

Turbo Exhaust = turbo MUFFLER.
Druck pressure monitor - comma - can produce 300HP, two different things. Exempt miles = anything over 100K is exempt from speedo check. Dual carb = Webers Rear end is NOT 928, but 70's Kremer. This car is cool if your into the late 70's exotic look. |

ONly the top half (around the windows) of the car looks like a real 911....The rest of it looks fake

Have any of you ever seen a Kremer Porsche? They were the baddest of the street 911s in the late 70s, early 80s. Lots of racing history.
This is obviously a copy, the looks are a bit off. But for the money it looks like a lot of car. Interior is in nice shape, paint looks good. Buy it cheap and change what you don't like. Now if it only had the high HP turbo motor to go with it............. [This message has been edited by RarlyL8 (edited 05-14-2001).] |
