81 Targa NO SPARK?
 

81 targa- car has been starting like a champ, had it out warming up in the driveway for about 15 minutes and it stalled now it cranks, smell gas but no spark at the coil. I appreciate any thoughts.

dead CD unit, frayed green coaxial wire at the distributor, no power at the red wire to the CD unit. does the CD unit whine? is it a bosch or permatune? bosch whines, p/tune doesn't. it can whine and still not produce a spark at the coil, just one check.
