Checking the Classifieds?

Okay, now that we've had a couple of references to ebay and one to Collector Car trader, I have to wonder: how many people still cruise the classifieds at Rennlist, here, ebay and so on even though you aren't in the market for a car? Until the last day or so, I thought it was just me!

Part two of the question: have any of the people that do look ever come close to buying a car they saw? Occasionally, I'll see a car and think "Damn! If that sucker doesn't go over , I'm buying it." I came dangerously close recently with a gold metallic SC in TX.

I keep a pretty close eye on the classifieds whether I am looking for a car or not. If I see something I cant live without who knows maybe I would buy it. I was in LA over the weekend and stumbled on a new/used truck I couldnt live without so I bought it..lol But I did get a great deal on it.

I do that all the time. I've "bought" many cars in my mind over the years!

I just like knowing what's "out there" in automotive terms. My wife gave me a shirt that says "I can look -but I can't touch" I'm not sure that it refers to cars or women, or that it matters. Looking is so much fun!
