Speedo question
I just bought a new/used speedo with more mileage than is actually on my car. Was wondering if anyone knows if you car turn the miles back to match the one I have now?

It is done quite often at the speedometer shops. People will have to have a replacement speedometer at times, and they get the speedometer shop to repair, service, calibrate, and set to correct mileage. If you go this route, be sure to keep the documentation of this being done, to keep with the records of the car.

I recently replaced a gear in mine to fix a common odometer issue. There was a 50,000 Mile discrepancy on my title back in 98 and who knows how long the odometer hasn't worked since it broke. I didn't feel bad at all about rolling mine to a nice even number.
If you decide to take yours apart ***DO NO PULL/PRY the Speedometer needle off*** Carefully rotate the needle all they way until it stops. When you have reached the stop keep spinning it and lightly pull up at the same time. The pin the needle rides on is essentially a wire - there is no glue - It's just a friction fit but it can be bent or broken if you aren't careful. I went back and forth to the low and high stop a few times with mine and it came off very easily. Installation is very similar.
