Need Help Identifying A Wire Under My Dash
 

There's a small black wire (18ga or smaller) that is encased in the wire sheath along with the antenna wire that exits with the antenna plug in the area near the back of the radio. That wire is just hanging under my dash.

Can anyone tell me what that small black wire is for and where it gets connected?

Mine goes to the antenna amplifier/booster that is located behind the passenger side front hood hinge.

For starters if you have a multi-meter you might see if it's hot with the key on, or check it to see if it goes to ground. Once one of those radio guys gets under your dash, Katy bar the door...

I also found in the achives that the small black wire is for the antenna amplifier/booster as mentioned by Red88Carrera.
