My wife Heidi rules!
Not only does she know the differences, but she points any we see out to me (if I miss them) When she went to Hawaii and other vacations she takes pics of nice ones she sees. and best of all She went with me to Europe on our honeymoon and LOVED IT, Stuttgart, Zell am see, Gmund etc etc. Shawn |

My wife is wonderfull because she bought my 911 because the military doesn't pay me enough. I love my sugar momma although the guys at other stations think im keeping the drugs we find and selling them for a huge profit.

Not a wife, but my girlfriend, Emma has been p-car "converted".
She loves riding in it and loves driving it (when I let her). Usually, on a Sunday morning, after breakfast, she'll come out and help me with my weekly religious obligation (cleaning the 911) and always suggests going for a drive. She opens all the windows and quarter windows and eggs me on to rev it out. She wants to get one of her own! She's a petrolhead! One time, when her car was being serviced, she begged me to let her take my car to work. I couldn't bear to let it out of my sight, but I let her take it, because it made her so happy. Good thing it came back in one piece... AC ------------------ Adam Chaplin - 1976 911S Coupe |

I married my wife 6 months ago, she MADE me sell my Ducati 748 AND Yam R1 after a couple of racing accidents and the death of a friend on his bike. I was considering not getting married (no really!).
However she did buy my 911 as a reward and I've very quickly adapted to life on four wheels ![]() I turned 31 today, she'd bought me a hammock, a couple of Porsche books to read in it, and a new bonnet badge (old one was faded) all without prompting! I'm with Doug on the "I could't give a rats a$$ what she knows about my toys", but it is nice to know she's taking some interest. I'm still not letting her drive the P-car though! ![]() ------------------ John Forcier 69 911T |

John... Love is one thing, but never should your wife, girlfriend, concubine, or whatever make you sell your motorbikes!!
Now that you have the 911, why not try to sneek another Duck back into the garage? ------------------ Doug '81 SC Coupe (aka: "Blue Bomber") Canada West Region PCA members.home.net/zielke/911SC.htm |

I must count myself as one of the lucky ones.
While she still doesn't have her license, my girlfriend has developed a soft-spot for 911s, especially my Carrera -- she's unbiased, of course ![]() She likes 911s so much that she wants to buy a Bug when she's unleashed onto Melbourne roads! The other night, on our way home, I allowed myself a little guilty pleasure as an on-ramp unwound. I gauged her reaction as I ripped through the gears, and she was wearing a wide smile while leaning forward in her seat, enthusiastically. I asked her once why she liked 911s, her response: "Well, firstly, I like the shape: muscular and sinuous. Secondly, the sound and the agility. Thirdly, because you love them". Yes, I'm a lucky guy. |

You are right of course Doug.
Funny you should mention another Duck in the garage... A little birdy has just mentioned an insurance write-off 996 going cheap. I still have a full set of replica fibreglass fairings from the 748, a set of wheels and a few other various bits and pieces..... Maybe she'll accept a "track toy only, no racing" story? ![]() ------------------ John Forcier 69 911T |
