Engine/tranny mounts

Ok, stupid question - I've got my engine and tranny out to rebuild the tranny, and I'm ordering parts today. Are motor and transmission mounts exactly the same? If so, I should just order 4 of the same part #? (911-375-043-07-M127)

Yes, they are interchangeable.

911-375-043-07-M127 are the Sport Mounts, very nice.

The difference is a smaller diameter center sleeve and slightly stiffer rubber.

When you put everything back in, leave the 4 bolts that connect the transmission crossmember to the transmission just snug/moveable so aligning of the 2 main bolts going through the mounts into the body is much easier.

The same with the engine crossmember; leave the 4 bolts going into the engine case just snug, then torque the two M12 bolts (60 ft-lbs with lube)

Once you have the four M12 bolts torqued (60 ft-lbs with lube) tighten the 4 remaining fasteners on the transmission crossmember and the 4 bolts from the engine crossmember into the case.

You'll achive 2 things with this:
Easier finding the holes for the 4 main M12 bolts and:
The engine/transmission will self-align as a unit without introducing stress.
