Post CIS Fuel Distributor Replacement

Okay, we ran the pressure tests on the injectors, fuel pump and the culprit is the fuel distributor! Now the big question? These are not cheap, so where do you find a Bosch rebuilt unit with the best price in the USA? Its for a 1973.5 CIS (first year).

I decided to replace it myself, so if anyone can suggest any problems or cautions when changing out the injector lines, or removing the unit please let me know.

Thanks

Bob,

I had a problem with my fuel distributor and took it apart only to find the "O" rings on the inside cracked. Purchased a o-ring kit, replaced them put everything back together and it works fine.

There isn't much to the fuel distributors with the exception of the adjusting screws on the top at each output. You may want to try and rebuild it yourself.

Steve
