Texas Early 911 Hill Country Rally- Apr. 20-22

Join us for the first annual R-Gruppe & Early 911S Registry Spring Rally on April 20-21, 2007 in Austin, Texas.

• Friday evening kick-off party at 6pm- Moorespeed in Austin.
• Saturday morning backroads "commute" through the Hill Country to Stefan Schleissing's house.
• Informal car show and BBQ at Stefan's house in Wimberley.
• Entry fee is $65- this includes an embroidered Event Polo shirt, lunch and BBQ. Additional shirts and meals are available at extra cost.
• All 1964 through 1973 911 models are welcome.

We're definitely considering the notion. Wide One is due out of the bodyshop after a loooong hibernation next week. Then we'll see how well I can work the "bugs out". Wife says she won't go unless we trailer from Woodlands to Austin and then tour. If I can't get her (the car) ready in time would you object if we tagged along in our Boxster?

Couple of suggestions:
1) petition Wayne to make this a "sticky" (I think that means it'll always be at the top of the first page).
2) also post in the "Texas" forum, albeit a very quiet place, but a few of us are trying to keep it alive.

Everyone is welcome to the hotel events on Friday night, Saturday morning and Saturday night- think parking lot party hanging out and talking cars.

We're just keeping the drive Saturday aftenoon and BBQ "long hood", due to space limitations at Stefan's place.

Hey Carl --> any interest in a Woodlands convoy up to this Austin event...maybe also a Sat AM Starbucks tire kicking session sometime...I'm near the Panther Creek shopping ctr. Any other Woodlands vicinity area Pelicanites that'd be interested?

I just realized April 20-21 is the weekend of the ALMS/Champ Car race in Houston. I definitely don't want to miss the RS Spyder buzzing around downtown. So I probably won't be making it up to Austin that weekend. Thanks for the invite to come up and hang out.
