Brake lights, park lights, flashers, help!

I bought my car last year and have had nothing but problems with the rear lights. The wiring is all messed up and I don't know what goes where. Does anyone have picture of the rear light wiring, not the schematic. My car started life as a 1969 Targa.

I am hoping someone has the rear tail light assembly apart and can fire me off a few pictures. I have 69 as a parts car and the wiring is also screwed up.

Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure what good a picture would do you? You don't get back to the factory harness if you trace the wires into the engine compartment a bit? The wiring diagram is probably your only hope. I dealt with this as well since my car has the 993 Taillights and although the guys who did the bodywork were very good at the body part they were in over their heads on the electrical. Solder and Heat-Shrink go a long way toward reliability compared to crimp-on connectors and electrical tape.

This thread has pictures of a tail light housing showing his restoration. It may help.

By popular demand - tail light rebuild/LED conversion
