'84 Carrera Calipers
Got a concours type question here. What color was the CAD or ZINC plating on the ATE calipers originally?
It looks like silver, (or clear) CAD, not gold like the replacements. Any help appreciated. Cooper

I've got an 84 cab and this week i am replacing my struts, tie rods and discs. My calipers are silver, not painted.

Great, thanks for the fast reply. The car I'm working on is very original and I thought the calipers looked like the plating was silver. A little hard to tell with brake dust etc. I don't think Porsche started painting calipers until the late '80's or '90's. Maybe black on some Turbo models?
In any case thanks again! Coop
