shrunken bellows?

Installed an aftermarket steering wheel, with adapter and rubber bellows. the wheel looks good, installed o.k. but the bellows seems about 1/2" short. You can see the turn signal contact when looking at the column. Are there different lengths of bellows? Sorry about no pic, will post one tomorrow. Any information would be helpful. Thanks all...
