Alusils with no cross hatch pattern

I know that it is a big gamble to reuse alusil cylinders, but I do not see any cross hatch pattern on the cylinders. Is this real bad?

Normal AFAIK - it just means they haven't been re-honed recently.

they don't have hone marks. you can ruin them by honing them improperly. they really don't need honing at all. just check for round and taper and ring them. or do a search for a past thread about honing alusils for about a thousand different opinions.

What is AFAIK?

Thanks!!!

Sorry, "as far as I know".

All the alusil bores I've ever seen on 944/951/968 engines look glass-smooth like that.
