What is the best performance muffler
 

After much investigation my idea was to buy a Cat-Bypass Pipe for my EURO/ROW Porsche 911 3.2. Then I found out it would only give a couple of HP as, my model doesn't have a Cat. So, does anybody have any say on what is the best sport muffler for my car. Or any comments on the above.

Since your situation isn't going to improve much in the way of performance with another muffler your more than likely going to need to find one that has the sound qualities that suit you.

Try to listen to as many different ones as you can since it is so subjective.

To expand most mufflers I have seen only are worth+/- 4-5 hp. the tuning of the car specific for the muffler(backpressure ) are crucial for optimum hp/tq. Now that said some fit better then others shine more then others some sound better then others and some weight less then others and then you have cost which is a big one. some mufflers are approaching 1g +.. . I would suggest going to Pelicans muffler page figure out which models kind of fit the bill for you then go to youtube.com for some sound bites. You will be amazed how quickly you will narrow the field.
