Question rear ride height

I have a 75 targa and I was wondering if someone can tell me how to raise the rear height. The cars sits just a little ass low and its starting to bother me a bit as I would like to see it more level.I read how the gas shocks raise your height a bit but is there a another way to raise the rear a bit.I understand how to raise the front but the back looks fixed and non adjustable.thanks in advance

You are going to have to reset the spring plate at a different spline unless your car has plates with some adjustment. It takes about 200 times as long to do the back as the front. Might be a good time to upgrade the torsion bars.

The short answer is: lower the front.

Thanks Guys;I can't put the front end anylower,in fact I should be raising it a little bit but the car drives nice and looks good except its a tad low in the rear.I guess maybe it time to replace the rear torsion springs,I just didn't want to replace them and then have the ass way up in the air.

You don't need to replace the torsion bars to get the ride heighth correct. If your spring plates aren't adjustable or if you can't get enough adjustment out of them, then the spring plates can be rotated to a new spline position on the torsion bar, or the torsion bar can be rotated to a different spline position. There are previous posts about this as well as some tech articles.

The answer is to re index youre spring plates and upgrade to the later adjustable sc style plates of wich I have a pair that did not fit my car. I have a 66 911 wich is the "short" car hence the plates did not work. I bought them for $100.00 and are in great shape. Send me some mail

Thanks again I guess I will pull a rear wheel and see if mine are adjustable but I don't think they are. What exactly am I looking for as far as adjustments? If I pull them apart are these thinks going to unload and kill me when i remove the last bolt.I understand how the front works but the back kind of seems small for all the weight it carries and I can't visualise the insides of it.Dean I will get in touch with you when I figure out how this works and if I need the adjustable ones,Thanks
