Inquiring minds want to know: Why?

WOW...... tough crowd. Let me start by saying that the biggest problem with this thread is that 99% of you never contacted us regarding this issue. Rennline was originally established for the main reason that customer support has become nonexistent in the automotive aftermarket world. If there is one thing I'm sure of, is that we will bend over backwards trying to keep ALL of our customers happy. With that said, there are always the few that are just never happy and never will be. There are also the purists that enjoy all of the original plastic and wood parts on their car, that’s fine if that’s what you’re in to. I cannot stress enough, that if there is an issue, then you NEED to contact us. That is the only way that we can continually improve our products. If you do not ***** when you see an issue then you are only hurting the next enthusiast that buys the same item. Keep in mind that we design and manufacture this stuff in house, changes are really easy to make if we know about them. We have over 1200 P/N's and unfortunately it isn't always possible to get every item 100% perfect the first time around.

As for this particular item, anyone of you that has installed a NEW factory unit will be struggling with the same issues plus a few more. If the strap is not already formed to the shape of the lower casting then you will need to get the clamps out or pre bend the unit so that you can get the nut started. The biggest pain with the factory unit is trying to get the end through the case. That is where ours is much easier to install. If you guys are kinking these things then you either have an older unit that is digging the edge of the strap into the aluminum fan housing, or you are trying to tighten them up WAY too much. Keep in mind that there is no upward load on the fan housing. It is simply to keep the fan housing locked in place on the block. We have hundreds of these out there with no issues, but due to this thread we have changed the bolt length for the obvious reasons.

There were also a couple of specific comments on this thread that I would like to clear up. If we charged you $8 bucks for a bolt then I owe you a HUGE apology. That should never of happened and you need to call us to get that refunded. There have been several incidences that we have had to send hardware to customers and we always eat the bill if it was an issue on our end. Sergio commented about a Optima battery kit, We discontinued those about 4 years ago due to issues with Optima. I'm not sure of the specifics of your complaint. If I had to guess, we probably had to produce something specific for you because we no longer stocked them, and that does not happen overnight.

I guess we should be thankful that this thread is practically the only “less then flattering” thread that we have come across in the 7 years we have been in business. We support Pelican in a HUGE way and I would like to thank the thousands of you that that support Rennline. We do our best to keep all of you happy and we will continue to do so. I cannot stress enough how important it is to contact us with issues. We REALLY need that type of feed back to evolve our products. If for any reason you have customer service issues with Rennline, Feel free to contact me directly:
