I am a newbie here......hello all.
 

Hi all you 911 chaps.

It's great to be here at Pelican, this site helped me to do my tappet adjustments ( my first attempt may I add ). However I am a bit concerned about the engine oil crank case plug, what I mean is it does not really get tight on doing back up. Will I need a new case plate complete with new plug or is there a quick solution to this problem. All in all I think the service went well but as a first timer I was nervous about missing something. The tappet tool I used was a great help for getting the correct settings needed, although I may not have needed to do them but as the car only comes out from May until October ( bloody English weather ) I felt they needed to be checked, as they have done 6000 miles since the last check. I shall try and upload pics of our beloved 3.0SC......If I can work out how to do it.;);)

Welcome! Nice ride. Once you get comfortable navigating the site and doing a little research, you will find plenty of old posts covering your specific oil plug issue. Fixes exist. I doubt you will need a replacement case! Glenn
