oil Pressure Problem

After 3 years in storage the previous owner's "rebuilt" 74 911S engine came to life. I ran it 10 minutes to heat up the oil (oil pressure about 20 psi but erratic) and then drained the oil and replaced it with fresh 20W-50. After start up I had 0 oil pressure. The idiot light shows I have some pressure (it went out) but the gage won't budge. I checked the gage and sender (OK) and even pulled the screen- it was like new. I pulled the oil pressure relief cap and spring but the valve did not move (how do you pull it down?)

Anybody have an idea of what I should check next?
