TRE vs Rennspd Longhood on SC comparison
 

Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone knew the difference in the TRE vs the Rennspd version of the longhood on short hood frame. The TRE is a couple hundred dollars more and was curious if anyone knew what the differences were to have it cost so much more. I bought a Getty ducktail from Rennspd a few months ago and thought they were great people to deal with. Just looking for opinions.

I am going to order parts from either Rennspeed or TRE in the next few weeks. I wonder if we could order them together and realize any savings on shipping since we are in the same area.

I bought all of the fiberglass for my 911SC from Rennspeed (hood, 9 and 11" flares, IROC tail, 3.8 RS tail, front bumper, and rear bumper. The pieces were better than GT Racing in finish. They were similar to Getty in quality. I have no experience with TRE. They do have a very good reputation.

Just let me know, I just asked for a qoute from Peter at rennspeed and let him know there may be more parts on the order. I need the hood and both bumpers and possibly the turn signals from them.

Yes I picked it up and its half apart.

I think I will need:

RSR front and rear bumpers
signal light assemblies/horn grills
rubber hood hold down thingies
mirrors

I think I sourced the rest used. I could probably find the rest used over the long haul except maybe the bumpers. Not sure it is worth waiting for used parts that are almost the same cost as the repros.

I am hoping to have this thing in paint in a couple of weeks so I will at least need the bumpers.

I will send peter an e-mail on the bumpers, if there is significant shipping savings I will pull the trigger.

Who is painting? I have not sourced that out just yet. I was not rushing but ran accross the fenders so I am getting closer. I emailed you the qoute from Peter.

I have the TRE hood. If you want I can take lots of pictures, and you do the same, then we compare !! For all I know it could be the same ;-)

I m going to use a local palistinian guy (here in Conyers). I am just going for a 10 footer a little better than a race car paint job. After it is done I will let you know if I recomend :-) I wonder if we could get a group discount on Paint!!:-)
