Florida goes 10% ethanol and the solution is...
What have you guys done to your 911s once the fuel becomes 10% ethanol? Florida says 10% ethanol fuel is going into my 3.2 from now on. It's official huh.
The newspaper writes that gas stations do not tell us one way or the other. I put in premium (every time for many years) at what 3.95 gallon and now they dilute it 10% more? Regards,

I've been exposed to 10% eth for years here in Jersey. No ill effects noted on my '76 911S, '82 Kawasaki or '53 Nash. That being said, try not to let it sit in the tank all winter (though I do).

Here in Oregon they have gone to 10% ethanol year round (used to be winter only). I add Stabil to each tankful and pray my 35+ year old CIS does not rust from the inside out.

The Ethanol will loosen debris / contamination in the tank. It will also absorb more water. Drain the tank down as far as possible before putting in the 10% Ethanol fuel. Add a bottle of dry gas. Change the fuel filter. Change the fuel filter again after a few tanks if you drive regularly, or after a month or so, whichever comes first.
![]() Change the filter annually from now on. That's what I did, no issues on my '84 3.2 w/ 10% fuel. ALSO: IIRC, It's MANDATED they post the additives (MTBE previously, 10% Ethanol content etc.). Look for a sticker on the pump itself, most attendants have no clue during the changeover.

No problem with 10%. The original SC manual says so, and it works just fine. 91 octane. But 15%--forget it.

Ahem....
Dry Gas? No way! Why? Dry gas is yet more alcohol into your fuel system.
