Let me start over.......
I installed a Speedatron Capacitor Discharge Ignition in 1972 and Bud Hart Racing modified Bosch distributor 0 231169 003 JFUD 6 with points. I have two worn lobes on the distributor.-002 I cannot find a new distributor. I cannot find a new distributor shaft with cam lobes. I thought that by using a Pertronix unit it would prevent my dwell from changing. Thus keeping my car in perfect running order. So, if a new distributor or shaft is not available.......what's wrong with band-aids????........Pertronix. BTW...0-60 in 5 sec flat. Not only do I eat 911S's..( '73's especially) ..I chew up and spit out any 911 up to 1993. M3's....walk all over them. Except those 400HP ones. 308, 328, 348 Ferraris.....I won't even comment. Anyone around here have a pre-73 doing 0-60 in 5 sec. flat..??????? |

Well...I did see a car in Cambria. Started life as a '69 912. Had a gawdawful twinplugged slide valved 6 banger under the lid. Yeah..it might do better. But "wanna drag"? Sheet mon, I have several neighbors who would answer that challange...one of 'em turns low 12's....in a chev pickemup.

Sorry Mark, didn't mean to hijack your last post. You were touching on some problems I was having.
