wierd click in the clutch pedal
 

Hey guys,

I need a little help. I have a 86 3.2 and everytime I engage the clutch pedal I get a single knock at exactly 3400 rpm. It just goes clunk and I can feel it in the center of the clutch pedal. Sometimes it happens at different rpm's but about 90% of the time it is almost at the 32-3400 rpm range.

Is it my clutch cable going out?

Look's like nobody has had this problem. I will change out the clutch cable and omega spring tomorrow to see if it helps.

I feel like a guy all alone in a room talking to a mirror, but I will follow up just in case anyone else feels the same clunk in the clutch pedal at the end of every clutch engagement.

I went to replace the clutch,omega spring and the clutch pedal spring and for the mean time it has fixed problem. I think it was the clutch pedal spring because the new one felt smoother when I was messing around with it before I hooked everything back up.

Just a heads up on replacing the clutch pedal spring, it is a real ***** to get back on. I finally got a big 12 inch regular screwdriver and knotched a groove in the middle of the blade with a bench grinder, this gave the spring a place to rest while I pushed like hell on the end of the spring so I could slip the hook back on to the solid post on the pedal cluster.
