First, I want to say thanks to all of the true experts here, as I've learned much since purchasing "Stinky", a very neglected '75 Targa off of Craig's List for pennies on the dollar.
The car needed (and still needs) plenty of help, mostly cosmetically, but mechanically as well. Well, I've been addressing the mechanical issues and, with spring hopefully arriving in Colorado soon (it snowed 5" in the mountains last night), have started to address some of the cosmetic issues. My first step in this was purchasing door pockets and some interior panels from Jeff Burger via the classifieds. I've been reading a few posts lately about some less than honest vendors, and I just want to give a public thanks to Jeff for sending me exactly what I needed/wanted, at a great price. He also was fantastic when it came to responding to emails and keeping me in the loop when it came to shipping/tracking. I have a feeling that most Pellicans are a lot like Jeff, and I look forward to meeting both him and other members, as I get this car sorted. Thanks, Jeff! And thanks to everyone else here who so willingly shares expertise and knowledge. I'm feeling a lot more confident about getting "Stinky" up to speed. ---- Tom |

Hmmm, yours is named Stinky too, huh? The previous owner of my '84 affectionately called it Stinky too. Something about a pinhole in the filler neck
![]() Congrats on the purchase. Here's to many more! (yep, this board is very addicting, and has a way of draining your bank account)
