Call Tony.

http://www.lockandkeyid.com/

He is the Porsche key guy. He can cut a key for you if you have the code on the original or can just get you the blanks to cut locally.

Good luck.

They were available 2 years ago when I bought a set. Probably NOS. I think it was a company called Jagkeys or something to do with Jaguar. But the blanks were correct size, shape, and stamped "Porsche" in correct font. To my eye, they looked OEM.

If no one else chimes in, I'll see if I can locate the receipt at home.

I bought keys for my 1969 T from here a few weeks ago. http://www.keys4classics.com/html/Por911_63-69.html the keys were perfect, shipping is a bit slow. I purchased (#141 TRANSMISSION mid 60s) after recieveing the wrong key from two other vendors.

I bought mine from Jaggraveyard and they took forever to get them & ship out. They are Ilco blanks. I never pursued if they can be had from Ilco direct.

I ordered ignition key blanks for my '69E today at the dealer. They said there were 40 in stock in Atlanta.

I do not know, I will get it when I pick up the keys tomorrow.

We did find a master key part # which is NLA but then found the key blank # which shows in stock.

The glove box key shows no stock.

I had Tony make keys for me after 15 years of searching. Highly suggest calling him as he sent out the good key not the cheepo brass key.
Be aware there are 2 different blanks for the ignition. One for cars with steering lock (like mine),and the cars without ( a shorter key).

I just got back from the dealer with 2 new keys for my '69, they both work with only a small adaptation.

The part # is 644 613 901 10

2 keys cut and working $40, 3 days from order to in hand.

The stop is a bit further back on the shaft so the key slides into the ignition a bit too far, no issue on the door lock. To start I just move the key the slightest bit out and it turns with no resistance, starts no problem.

Regards,
Bob

I heard that one before! Then a couple months later the parts came from Germany.

Well all I can say is they were here in 3 days, and this dealers record has been exellent on all txns. This includes getting parts out of Germany. Maybe its your dealer.

Mine is Boardwalk in Plano, TX.

Might as well recognize them if I am going to sing their praises.
