Fuel Regulator replacing?
Is it possible to replace the fuel regulator without dropping the engine or removing the drivers-side air intake. I have the passenger intake off and am going to replace the damper as it appears to be making a whining noise. I would like to replace the regulator along with it to be sure that is not the cause of the problem but removing drivers side intake looks like a PIA.

I took it out recently without droping the engine, the first time. It took me almost a day to get it and several hoses off the car. First, the heater need to come off, of course all the hoses/pipes too. Then the intake too. After these, you can reach your hands back there to undo some of the hoses and the bracket holding it in place. A lot of time is just to touch/feel to find what are those things back there and how they are connected (without seeing them).

I guess I will revisit removing the drivers side intake, I do hate to have the passenger one off and not just bite the bullet. One question is it appears it would be much easier to deal with the driver side if the plastic air duct for the blower was removed but it appears to me that the fan shroud strap and possible the fan shroud would need to be removed in order to pull this off the car. Is this true? Can I get the intake up and out of the way enough with this in place?
