ARP Head Studs

Any advise, pro or con using ARP head studs, on a 2.8?

As with guitar strings, motor oil brands, and watches, everyone has their favorites.

IMO, when it comes to automotive fasteners, it doesn't get much better than ARP.

as long as you don't have to torque them beyond the normal 23#, fine. remember that mag cases pull studs and sometimes inserts too. i know raceware suggests 35#, and that would make me nervous with a mag case, even with case savers. if i remember right, ARP suggests 23#, but better check.

Not sure this is the best application for hi-tech, high strength fasteners. The regular steel studs should be fine.

I wish I had asked before I ordered. The ARP's are on the way. In an effort to buy the best, I may past steel for no reason. Return and use steel, use ARP's?

I use nothing but steel studs in small motors (under 2.4) and 993TT Dilavars in everything else.

No pulled studs, no broken studs, and no loose head nuts,.....

YMMV, of course.
