Should I buy new pads?

I just put new pads on a stock 89 3.2. (HAwk HP+). Have about 50 miles on them. I was getting a tech inspection for an upcoming DE and found out my rotors are not in spec (to thin). Should I buy new pads since the old ones were already bedded, (is that a word?) to the old rotors or put the slightly used ones back in?

Thanks for your help.

50 miles? Not even broken in. If you decide to get new pads, give me those. I'll be appreciated
Honestly, I don't know how rich the P guys are and how much they care, but 50 miles pads are brand new to me. I would just keep them with new or old rotors.

+1 - same pads. I do it all the time on my track car. Try to bed them in before you go on track - or do it on your first run and adjust you driving/speed accordingly.

My mech told me that he often runs new pads without turning the rotors b/c there is more surface area of the pad touching the rotor, and he even runs bedded (you just coined that term, BTW) pads on news rotors b/c the difference is negligible. The key, apparently, is to replace both sides, either front or rear, at the same time. I'm thinking that even the stock brakes are good enough that a novice (which I am) would not even notice. Your call.

Those pads are dangerous! PM me with your address and I'll give you $15 for the set.

Thanks for the replies. Since I can't decide who should get my pads I think I will just put them back in. Now to see how many more brake lines I can twist getting the calipers off.

Dave, wise choice on the pads. Sweet looking ride you got there.
